COM Events understands the importance of getting every detail, just right. What began as a boutique hire service for wedding ceremonies, has naturally evolved into an event management company as our brides began drawing on our personal knowledge + professional expertise.

We now work on all types of functions from intimate family dinners to grand corporate galas, helping people to plan and execute their big ideas. For our very special brides, we continue to provide everything from hand crafted wedding canopies to full event management.

For us, the most rewarding part of the journey is being there on the big day to ensure every detail is seamless. Events are a lot of fun, but they also involve a lot of preparation. We’re here to step in so you can step back and enjoy every moment of your big day with your guests.

Tahli Engel Bio

COM Event’s founder, Tahli Engel, began her career in Marketing and Operations Management. Working with a prominent education provider, she helped promote and deliver professional training in the area of Mediation and Negation as per the Harvard Framework. Through this role, Tahli acquired specialist skills in relationship building & conflict resolution alongside marketing strategy & project management – a diverse skill set that was to find new relevance in the world of events a few years later.

Through realising the need for modern Chuppahs (Jewish wedding canopies), she set about to create a range of stunning hand crafted Chuppahs for florists and stylists to work with a couple to create their individual look. From here, Chuppahs of Melbourne was born.

As Tahli worked closely with each bride, they began drawing on her personal knowledge and professional expertise. Soon she was providing much more than a bespoke hire service, as she assisted clients to prepare and run their special day in entirety. Her recent experience working with The Production House Events (as an Event Director) and Where the Grass is Green (in Styling and Business Management) have polished her approach and prepared her for the next chapter.

To reflect this growth, Chuppah’s of Melbourne is now evolving into COM Events to provide a complete suite of event planning and management services that extends to events of all varieties. Tahli’s unique background and obvious passion for events has seen her plan and run numerous functions that captivate and delight guests leaving them with truly special memories. Be it an epic Bar-mitzvah, an intimate family gathering or a grand corporate gala, Tahli demonstrates the same level of commitment, thoroughness and zest.
